How
does it work?
No one is sure why, but according to thousands of
users, magnetic therapy works. There are
some interesting
theories currently under investigation to explain
its effects. Magnetic energy is a fundamental earth
nutrient and is essential to life. We also know that
the magnetic power of the
earth is hundreds of times
lower then when the earth was first being formed.
Perhaps magnetic therapy simply supplements this missing
power. Others suggest that magnetic energy, when placed
close to the target area, may attract blood via its
iron content. If blood flow increases, that means
more oxygen and other nutrients that are naturally
in the blood are at the site to assist in healing
and give pain relief.
Why should I try magnetic therapy?
A better question might be – why not? Magnetic
therapy has provided pain relief to thousands and
thousands of people around the world. It is non addictive,
non invasive and will not interfere with
other forms
of treatment. It is easy to use and inexpensive. While
there are some people for whom magnetic therapy is
not recommended (see below), it is still one of the
safest suggested means of
pain relief
available today.
Why
T-ZONE™ Magnetic Therapy Magnets?
T-ZONE™ magnets have a higher strength than most other "health" magnets on the market
today. Our soft, flexible magnets are comfortable
and light, each weighing less than five grams. As
well, flexible magnets mould to each body part for
ultimate power and comfort, and pose no danger of
shattering
in case of impact.
How
should I use the magnets?
Place the magnets directly on the skin over the affected
area, under bandages, tape or braces. The orange side
(South Pole) is positive, the black side (North Pole)
negative. For most injuries, put the negative side
against the skin.
The
North Pole of the magnet is cooling and sedating.
It corresponds to the traditional Chinese medicine
definition of Yin or negative polarity. It can be
used for acute pains caused by inflammation.
The
South Pole of the magnet is heating and stimulating.
It corresponds to the traditional Chinese medicine
definition of Yang or positive polarity. It can be
used for pains caused by weakness, tingling and numbness.
Is
magnetic therapy safe?
Yes. The World Health Organization study on magnetic
fields published in 1987 declared that "health"
magnets are safe. However people with epilepsy, a
pacemaker or other metal implants, on blood thinning
medications or who may be pregnant should not use
magnetic therapy. Also, magnets should not be worn
near battery-operated watches. Magnets should be used
in conjunction with advice
from
a medical practitioner.
